Terms of Service - Tooliverse

Welcome to Tooliverse. By accessing or using tooliverse.ai (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

Tooliverse is operated by Francis Field as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.

1. About the Platform

Tooliverse is a free AI tools discovery platform that provides curated reviews, consensus ratings, and editorial recommendations to help users find the right AI tools for their needs. The Platform aggregates publicly available user reviews from across the web and uses AI systems to generate consensus scores and editorial summaries.

How we sustain the Platform: Tooliverse is free for users. We sustain the Platform through partnerships with AI tool companies, including sponsored content placements and affiliate links. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that we collect and analyse usage data to personalise your experience and to provide aggregate audience insights to our business partners, as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Consensus Scores and Reviews

Tooliverse Consensus Scores are generated through automated processes that aggregate and analyse publicly available user reviews from across the web, including online forums, community discussion platforms, video review channels, software review sites, and app store listings. These scores represent algorithmic compilations of third-party opinions and are intended as informational guides.

Important:

Consensus Scores are algorithmic calculations, not personal opinions, endorsements, or recommendations of Tooliverse or its operator.
Editorial summaries and consensus statements are generated using AI systems (Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude) based on aggregated review data. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, misinterpretations, or inaccuracies.
Scores are approximate indicators based on available data at the time of generation and are updated periodically. They may change as new reviews become available.
You should independently verify information before making purchasing, business, or professional decisions based on content from this Platform.

3. Editorial Independence and Three-System Separation

Tooliverse operates three distinct, independent systems:

Consensus Scores — algorithmically generated from aggregated user reviews. Scores cannot be purchased, influenced, or altered by any commercial or editorial relationship. The default sort order on all organic listings is by Consensus Score.
Editor's Choice — selected independently by the Tooliverse editor based on hands-on evaluation. Editor's Choice selections are never for sale and are not influenced by commercial relationships.
Sponsored Content — always clearly labelled as “Sponsored.” Sponsors receive placement visibility only. Sponsorship never affects Consensus Scores, Editor's Choice selections, or organic ranking positions.

4. Affiliate Links and Sponsorships

Tooliverse may earn commissions through affiliate links when you click through to a third-party tool and make a purchase. We may also feature sponsored tools and content from AI tool companies. In all cases:

Sponsored content and affiliate relationships are always clearly disclosed
Affiliate links and sponsorships never influence Consensus Scores or organic ranking positions
We only recommend or feature tools that meet our quality and relevance standards

5. Accuracy and Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.

Specifically, we do not warrant that:

Consensus Scores, reviews, or editorial content are accurate, complete, or up to date
AI-generated summaries are free from errors or misinterpretations
Tool pricing, features, or availability information reflects the current state of third-party products
The Platform will be available without interruption or error

Information displayed about AI tools is gathered from public sources and third-party websites. We encourage you to verify all information directly with the tool provider before making decisions.

6. Intellectual Property and Copyright

What we own

The following are the exclusive intellectual property of Tooliverse and are protected by copyright, database rights, and applicable intellectual property laws:

Editorial content — all Consensus Statements, Editor's Choice statements, executive verdicts, editorial summaries, and tool descriptions written or generated for the Platform, including content produced with the assistance of AI systems
The Tooliverse Consensus Score system — the scoring methodology, the compiled scores, and their presentation. The Consensus Score system constitutes a proprietary trade secret.
The compiled database — the selection, coordination, and arrangement of tool data, reviews, scores, facts, and editorial content as a whole. While individual public reviews belong to their original authors, our curated compilation is an original work of authorship.
Atomic facts and structured data — the distilled, formatted facts generated by our editorial pipeline for each tool
Site design and code — the visual design, layout, user interface, page templates, and underlying source code of the Platform
Branding — the Tooliverse name, logo, tagline, and associated marks
Newsletter content — all original writing, curation, and editorial commentary distributed via our newsletter

What you may not do

Without our prior written consent, you may not:

Copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute Tooliverse content (including Consensus Scores, editorial summaries, or compiled data) in any medium
Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform for the purpose of creating a competing product or dataset
Frame, mirror, or embed pages from the Platform on another website
Use Tooliverse content to train machine learning models or AI systems without a licence agreement
Present Tooliverse Consensus Scores or editorial content as your own work or as originating from a source other than Tooliverse

Permitted uses

You may:

Share links to any page on the Platform
Quote brief excerpts (up to 100 words) with clear attribution to “Tooliverse (tooliverse.ai)” and a link to the source page
Reference a Consensus Score (e.g., “rated 9.2/10 on Tooliverse”) with attribution and a link
Use our content for personal, non-commercial research

Third-party intellectual property

Individual tool names, logos, screenshots, and trademarks displayed on the Platform belong to their respective owners. 7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Platform to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
Attempt to interfere with Platform operations, security, or infrastructure
Impersonate another person or entity
Access administrative areas without authorisation
Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose

8. User Accounts

If you create an account on Tooliverse, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Newsletter and Communications

When you create an account on Tooliverse, you will automatically receive our newsletter and product updates, including AI tool recommendations, new tool alerts, platform updates, and clearly labelled sponsored content. These communications are part of our service to help you discover AI tools. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in every email or through your account settings.

If you subscribe to our newsletter without creating an account, you consent to receive these same communications.

We may personalise newsletter content based on your interests, as inferred from your browsing behaviour on the Platform and any preferences you provide. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

10. Third-Party Links and Content

The Platform contains links to third-party websites (including the AI tools we review). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, products, or services of these third-party sites. Clicking an external link, including affiliate links, takes you to a site governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tooliverse and its operator shall not be liable for:

Any decisions made based on Consensus Scores, reviews, or editorial content on the Platform
Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated or aggregated content
Any loss or damage arising from the use of third-party tools discovered through the Platform
Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tooliverse and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Platform, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide notice through the Platform or via email to registered users. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
